NVIDIA To Demonstrate Solutions For Vista Platform At WinHEC 2006

NVIDIA will be featuring the company’s latest mobile and desktop solutions, for both consumer and enterprise customers, at WinHEC 2006 next week (May 22-25) in Seattle. Designed to support the advanced visual and 3D features found in the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, NVIDIA graphics processing unit (GPU) and media and communications processor (MCP) based products help bring clarity to the world of personal computing.

In addition, a new version of the NVIDIA graphics driver for Windows Vista, offering a host of performance improvements and features that include an all new control panel, top-to-bottom support for NVIDIA DirectX 9 GPUs, as well as OpenGL support, is ready to go and will be released in conjunction with Windows Vista Beta 2.

NVIDIA will be hosting partners, customers, and press in our suite at WinHEC 2006 with live demonstrations that include:

  • NVIDIA GeForce consumer GPUs, designed to deliver unmatched image and video clarity when using a Windows Vista-based PCs for entertainment such as watching TV, viewing photos, or playing the latest video games

  • NVIDIA nForce MCPs, motherboard solutions that offer advanced performance, security, and storage capabilities required in Windows Vista-based PCs
  • NVIDIA PureVideo technology that combines a dedicated video processor and software to deliver ultra-smooth, high-definition video playback with minimal power consumption
