Microsoft to Release Notebook Power Drain Bug Fix

You may recall our earlier article on Reduced Core Duo Notebook Battery Life. As we indicated then, TG Daily had managed to narrow down the bug to Microsoft’s ACPI driver.

Since then, TG Daily has continued to work with both Intel and Microsoft to isolate the issue. According to a TG Daily article released last night, the ACPI driver in Windows XP SP2 has been confirmed to be the source of the problem.
