Release the Sound Cap Limit in Your iPod with goPod
I have to say that nothing makes me angrier than technology used to “protect” us from ourselves. I am all for having a way to block certain channels on your cable TV if you have kids, or even kid-specific cell phones that limit who can call in and who can be called. That’s fine. But when they started messing with the volume in portable music players – capping off the loudness to prevent idiots who listen to their players all day on “11″, let’s just say, that’s not exactly fair to those of us who like to go loud every now and then, but also know enough not to go deaf in the process.
For those who want to set their iPods free, here’s a little piece of software called goPod that is a free download that works with pretty much all iPod models including the new nano and 5G.

Gopod doesn’t not yet work with 5G ipods. Check your facts before writing.
