TiVo has just announced that it has added two new formats allowing for free iPod downloads and free PSP downloads for users of their TiVoToGo service. The TiVoToGo service is a free feature provided to TiVo customers.

The inclusion of the iPod video download and PSP video download formats expands the service beyond the formats currently available to TiVoToGo users.

What this means is that you can now record a show on your TiVo, and then transfer it to your Apple iPod or Sony PSP, for later playback. In order to get around copyright concerns, TiVo plans to include a unique watermark in every download, which will trace the video copy directly to the customer.
