I continue to be puzzled by the excellent sales figures for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) and the complete lack of visibility that this product has in the marketplace nonetheless. Maybe I just don’t hang around with enough 15 year old boys, but even Sony seems to be trying some sort of stealth marketing campaign with this product. It’s no surprise to me, therefore, when I get email questions asking what the unit can do other than just play games. In fact, it’s a remarkably sophisticated gadget:

There are also other uses for a PSP, some of which involve illegal software downloads, but that’s another story…

Ok I bought one on these for my 5 year old daughter for Xmass, in showing her how to use it, I found I could check email with it so I jumped in the car and got one for myself.
I then found out you could receive RSS feeds, I really had no use for this untill I remembered a program I use to use on my website called TVersity .
Sweet I no longer had to put Music, Videos or Photos on my PSP as I could stream it using the RSS & TVersity on my home computer
Just download the free program called TVersity, point TVersity to the mMsic, Video or Photos directory, BAM you now have access to your stuff from anywhere you have an internet connection, (static IP required) for access outside the home.
P.S.
I also have just added the LocatinFree player a must if you have a PSP.
Now if they could come up with a decent mic for the Skype VOIP feature
they headset is ugly and bulkly just a mini boom mic Sony.
all in all this thing rocks.
