Interesting Offbeat

I have shared a few of my favorite offbeat, wacky, weird, warped Web sites over the past few weeks. For the weekend, I thought it would interesting to show a site that has a few of its own sites. What caught my attention was the main banner on the site - it is good advice for everyone to know.

The advice that this Web site gave that caught my attention was “What to do if an alien appears.” Such advice is hard to find these days, and even harder to appreciate when it is found.

Here there are a few sites such as Dilbert and Peanuts comics, an Antarctic expedition, Internet traffic (from every continent in the world), and a Japanese English translator. What I really liked wit the Acronym Finder. If you can come up with the letters, this site will find what it means. For example, did you know that TRUCK is the Ohio State Patrol language for “Time of observation, Route or location, Unusual activity, Communication to law enforcement and Keep under observation?” Cool, huh?

Rich’s Warp-o-Meter gives this site an overall rating of 6.5. There are parts that rate higher, parts that rate lower. But you can decide those for yourself.
