The wi-fi digital camera is now a reality, with three digital camera makers introducing offerings in time for Christmas. Canon has just announced its wi-fi Elph, joining Nikon with its Nikon Coolpix P1, and Kodak with its Kodak Easyshare-One Wi-Fi Digital Camera. The Canon PowerShot S430 is part of the Elph line.

According to Canon, “The new Canon S430 Wireless is equipped with Canon high-performance and high-speed processing DIGIC II. With the greatest image processing capability in another league, the DIGIC II achieves extremely high-definition processing, AF accuracy and higher-speed processing, and also the camera startup time, AF speed, response time for image display at playback and the speed to transfer image data to a memory card are considerably improved.”
