Did you know that you can pick up an Xbox 360 controller right now, about a full month before the 360 launch? The Xbox 360 Controller for Windows is available in stores, and is a standard Xbox 360 wired controller, but costs $5 more than the Xbox version.
Why the price difference? Well, the Windows team has added an installation disc to the package. Really - that is the only difference. PlayFeed got its hands on the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows and snapped a bunch of images of the device, along with a few screen captures of the installation process.
After a bit of testing, it looks like the controller is not compatible with newer PC games like Half-Life 2 or Battlefield 2. We expect that updates will soon be released to take advantage of the new hardware shortly.
