See Katrina’s Damage via Google Maps

By John Tintle, Contributing Writer, RealTechNews

For those who can’t get enough of seeing the damage inflicted by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Google has helped you out. Google Maps has added a Katrina button for maps of New Orleans, Louisiana, so you can see the before satellite images and after images. An easy and very visible change in the New Orleans is the Louisiana SuperDome’s roof, you can see how the tiles peeled off during Katrina.

John Says: I can see Google doing this especially with the extreme interest in New Orleans, but why not extend the coverage of the damage to the Mississippi Gulf Coast? They got hit just as hard if not harder than New Orleans.
