How do I delete an AOL Screen Name?

I want to set up a new America Online (AOL) screen name for myself, but the system’s telling me that I already have the maximum number of screen names. How do I delete one so I can create a new one?
This process is actually fairly similar to the steps needed to add a new screen name. Let’s go through the steps, though, so you can see what I mean.
First off, log in to AOL and choose Account Settings –> Screen Names. This gets you to a screen that looks like this…

I do not understand your directions…cannot find Account Settings - Screen Names. You make it look easy if I could find those things. I want to delete a screen name when signing on. I tried Account Settings –> Screen names as you’ve shown it and also with the marks between the two subjects…I don’t get it.

It is difficult to get to your account settings when you are not using AOL’s Browser, like I.E. or FireFox.
I got to it by accident by trying to change my password.
Go to Setting right next to ‘AOL Mail’ sign
Then go to ‘Settings’ and you click ‘Accounts’
Then click ‘Change Your AOL Password’
This will not change your password however it will get you signed in to change any information regarding your subscription.
After signing in using you secret passwords and other security questions you can now choose to change whatever you like.
Other way is to go to the main page after signing in and going to AOL directory which is the second set of option boxes underneath the ‘AOL News’.
Click on ‘Can’t find it? AOL A to Z’
This takes you to the Directory
Then you click on ‘Account Maintenance’
Answer your question and Proceed from there.
NOTE: You must be signed in under the ‘Master Screen Name’
Hope this helps anyone in this confusing, frustrating task lol.
You really just need to know where to look. Like I said I found it by accident lol.

Whoops I realised I told you to click settings twice. I don’t want to mislead by saying you have to click Setting twice. Once you click on ‘Settings’ Next to the sign all you need to click on next is ‘Accounts’. Sorry about that.

This is ridiculous. It should not be this hard to change a screenname. This is what I did:
Log into AOL.com
I had to go under “More From AOL”
Scroll Down until you see AOL A to Z
Click on Settings
Choose Screennames
Go from there…. Good luck.

I am a registered user. AOL somehow changed my screen name to “tjeqz@aol.com”. It should be tjeqz.
