I would love to know if anyone out there actually dreams of owning an angry clown-head PC? The HyperKore HK-Xtreme is hands down the scariest looking system I have ever seen, but alas, our pals at PC Mag gave it a tepid review, especially when you consider a price tag that nears almost $4K without a monitor or speakers.
“The HyperKore HK-Xtreme ($3,806 direct as tested, without monitor) is undoubtedly aimed at the 16 to 35 year-old male gamer, or anyone who doesn’t want a boring-looking box from one of the larger system builders (read: HP, Dell, or Gateway. It certainly isn’t boring. In fact, with the scary clown graphics on the side panel, the HK-Xtreme is not for the squeamish or the coulrophobic (yes, that means “scared of clowns”). Thankfully, the system is available with a multitude of other standard side-panel graphics, including the iconic Bruce Lee, the Batman logo, and game logos like those of Half Life 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004.
