Wonder if Intel Will claim it inveted all WiFi chips now too? Intel, backed RF long aftre WIFi was taking over and then suddenly claimed it was behind the success of WiFi. Now here’s a new all in one chip. Do we even need it? Read On:

“A new wireless computer chip has been developed by scientists at Intel Corp. The chip is capable of supporting every current Wi-Fi standard, as well as the projected requirements of an upcoming standard. The system-in-a-package technology is a significant step toward improved wireless capabilities at a low cost, said Intel of Santa Clara.

“Intel said it sees the time when one device will use smart antenna systems and a reconfigurable CMOS radio on a single device “making the radio more power efficient, smaller and lower cost.” More…
