Microsoft aims to clarify licensing terms

The article says that Microsoft is going to try to make their software licensing more understandable. I wish them a lot of luck. Few people (seemingly) understand just how restrictive current licensing terms are.
Personally, I doubt if anyone in their right mind would buy a system with Windows or other Microsoft products preinstalled if they were told beforehand that they couldn’t sell or give away the system without removing Windows. And that doesn’t even mention people who buy OEM copies of Windows in an effort to get a more reasonable price.
All in all, I have to say that they’ve got a lot of work ahead of them.
