Real Video Searching

Now I got excited when both Yahoo and Google both launched their own video searches. Sure Google’s was kind of a let down, but it does have a lot of promise for the future. Yahoo’s is a little better, but doesn’t seem to cover much real television. While doing a little random surfing this weekend, I ran into a video search that blows both of them out of the water. It’s name is blinkx.tv.
All that they ask is your you to put in three search terms and hit submit. After that you are brought video from dozens of different sources. Some of these sources include: Fox News, CNN, Movielink, BBC News, Bloomberg, Reuters, ITN, SKY, C-SPAN, C-SPAN 2, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, HBO, ESPN, The One Network, Movies, E!, Biography Chanel, Discovery Chanel, History Chanel, BBC Parliament, Geography, Web Video, UK Television, and a few different sources of Internet radio.
In my honest opinion this is the way that video searching should work. They even have a way for you to submit your own content into the searches too. So check it out and let me know what you think. Is it the best solution for video searching out there today or is there something better?
