AMD releases dual-core server chips

It didn’t take AMD long to bring their chips to market. Intel, as you may remember, released their own dual-core 64-bit chips less than three weeks ago. AMD has also announced that their desktop-level dual-core designs should hit the market within a couple of months, while Intel’s plans, if any, to do the same are unclear.
In the meantime, HP hasn’t wasted any time and they have at least one dual-core Oprteron server ready for market.
