Yahoo Releases Toolbar Beta For Firefox

Even with Google’s continued popularity, Yahoo! is not really that far behind. What they lack in cool, new beta programs, they are making up in wise moves with items such as the Yahoo! Toolbar. While the existing one has been around for IE users for sometime now, it is only recently they have seen the obvious wisdom of offering one for Firefox users as well.

Seems like Internet Explorer has all of the ‘toolbar advantages’ these days, doesn’t it? Google, Yahoo, pretty much everyone out there is working on a new toolbar for us to use and enjoy.

Well speaking as a consistant user of Firefox, I was thrilled to hear that Yahoo has decided to provide their own toolbar option for Firefox users. To me, this shows progressive thinking that will serve them well in the long run.

Now, before we go getting too excited. We need to remember that this toolbar is still in beta and you might run into some bugs. Speaking for myself, I have found it to be pretty easy to use and have not come across any bugs as of yet.

So what makes this toolbar more special than some of the others out there? The fact that it has RSS integration built in! Ya know, to the best of my knowledge, Google STILL has nothing in the works when it comes to implementing RSS. Why is this? Surely they know that those who continue to ignore the stagering numbers out there are going to be doomed to eventual failure as their competition stomps them in the RSS arena!
