HP = Her Past?

In a (pretty much) surprise move, Carly Fiorina, CEO of HP since the merger with Compaq, is being forced out of office. This was just picked off the ABC news feed. I haven’t seen any speculation on who will fill that spot. I guess ‘the blood on the floor’ is just too fresh.
To my eyes HP, which just brought out three new laptops, seems to be still finding its way in melding the two product lines. There’s what looks like duplication, but without being on the inside, it’s hard to tell. Are they using Compaq as entry-level machines? Will Compaq eventually disappear? I think that’s likely. When was the last time you saw a Compaq ad on tv?
