I just heard on the news another reason to give as much as you can to the tsunami relief effort. Congress is well on its way to approving legislation to allow all money donated to a recognized charity by January 31st to be 100% deductible from LAST YEAR’S tax bill.
It’s not the reason to donate, but since it may not end up costing you anything out of your pocket, it could well be easier to donate than if it had to come out of your household budget.
