The video game “Halo 2″ is considered a “killer app” for Microsoft’s Xbox game console — a piece of software popular enough to drive big sales of the underlying hardware.
Could the same game also ignite sales of Microsoft Excel?
That might be overstating things, but there was a definite buzz among “Halo 2″ players last week over a new and unexpected use for Microsoft’s venerable spreadsheet program.
