VoIP trials are underway in Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and San Antonio, said SBC spokesperson Sue McCain, and additional markets will be added early next year. The service uses IP technology and a DSL Internet connection to deliver voice calling and features, such as a Web-based portal and advanced call-management capabilities.
