For once, this is an item not directly tied to a tech news story, exactly. Instead, it’s an effort to take our news coverage to a new level. As such, it is kind of personal, as you’ll see.

Our normal method of gathering the latest news uses a number of the major news organizations and weeds out ads and things which really aren’t useful, then putting it all together for you.

I’m going to try an experiment and you, my readers, will be the ‘lab rats’ involved :^). There’s a certain aspect of this that hangs my own butt out in the wind, so I have to trust that if you’ve made it to Lockergnome and the Tech News Watch Channel in particular, then you’re already a bit above the average in geekiness. In other words, you’re already Gnomies. That means you deserve a little more trust than most strangers, because you’re not really strangers to start with.

Well, here it is: If you have some tech news that is fact (i.e. you can give verifiable sources for), then send it in to my ‘tip line’ - tips@thepeartree.net. You can have your name in print in our news reports- or not- as you wish. In any case, you’ll be warm in the knowledge that you’ve helped to make our Tech News Watch into a REAL news organization.
