Just this discussion of this program gets people into heated debates. I am not going to get into my thoughts on the matter of the US Congress and the Senate considering making changes to the number of foreign technology professionals that are allowed to come to work in the US on work visas. Personally, I am sure that it will work itself out. Well, at least that is my hope anyway.
The H-1B visa program is under discussion again in Congress, as the Senate weighs some changes to it. The H-1B is a visa classification that allows skilled technology professionals to work in the US. Legislation introduced by Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) would modify the existing rules by exempting foreign students receiving graduate degrees from US schools from the current limit of 65,000 new H-1B visas (but says nothing of the levels of fashion models of distinguished merit and ability allowed into the US).
