Now I have heard a lot of people complaining since XM Radio decided to kill off the PCR receiver. In answer to those that have considered dropping XM because of this, they have decided to work on offering a music service of their own.
Just weeks after killing off its popular XM PCR receiver, XM Radio has announced a new online music service. Called XM Radio Online, the service is slated to launch next month, costing US$7.99 per month (US$3.99 for current XM subscribers) for unlimited, commercial-free listening.
XM Radio Online subscribers will get to choose from the current XM Radio lineup of both music and talk stations. Dell is partnering with XM Radio for the launch, as all purchasers of Dell Inspiron notebook and Dimension laptops will get a free, 30-day trial subscription.
