I’ll continue to post advisories on popular Microsoft software - but other application advisories will be posted on a hit or miss basis - mostly miss. If you want reliable information on software security problems (that includes firmware in devices like routers), you should subscribe to this list.

Secunia watches many software vendors - both proprietary and open source - for reports of security vulnerabilities as well as having their own team of researchers. They also have a virus alert mailing list that’s available here.
