Best free popup blocker?

So what is the best pop-up blocker of them all? Well the guy in this post from ExtremeTech seems to be asking that same question. Personally, I believe the answer is bordering on obvious with all the press both of these options have received. Both Firefox/Mozilla and the Google toolbar offer the best protection based on utilites that I have used, hands down.

“Ive been coaching folks on net use that simply do not understand about pop ups & no matter how many times i warn “DONT CLICK ON OR OPEN THEM” i get many a call asking to bail them out again. & update thier anti virus – chase away worms n spyware for them again. Ive set them up with ad aware 6 to scan [updated & ran for them] AVG all on line & going. Then MSN popup blocker [which worked while i was there] but now 2 days after it was going i get another call & e-mail
these are simple folks needing very simple solutions to block all pop ups,If possible ? Im not bothered by them myself. with me its like cruising the freeway – your bound to hit a bill board now n then i just get up & go on. but theses folks actually believe the ads are from good true people :~O wow woul raising thier security settings to high help? They are running IE 6 on Win ME help me help them,Please. thanks a bunch”
