“General Electric Co.’s research unit is leading a group that will develop wireless sensor networks as part of a plan to boost the energy efficiency of electric motors, the workhorses of American industry, the unit said Monday.”
We’re starting to see more and more of these practial applications for wireless sensor networks. Down the line I envision these networks embedded into homes to provide everything from security to tempature monitoring.
