Soldiers on the battlefield could start using a new breakthrough in water filtration technology. The X-Pack water purification bag allows soldiers to use whatever water source they have around for food rehydration. According to New Scientist magazine; “The pouch - containing chicken and rice initially - relies on osmosis to filter the water or urine.” Yes, you read that correctly. Even the latter water alternative can be used in a pinch if there is no other choice available.
