The BBC reports that pedophilia is quite widespread in the UK. Law enforcement agencies there have taken serious measures to help combat this ongoing problem through the use of fake child porn websites and a child porn site blocking program. This new system that the UK has implemented has a two fold effect on possible pedophiles:

1) They are blocked from visiting the website they were trying to access.

2) The attempt to access a child porn site is registered by the authorities for future reference.

I would say that it is not too unlikely to see other countries begin to follow the UK’s example in an effort to stop the ever growing child porn problem.
