Windows XP SP2 to Ship in Early August, Microsoft Says

“A Microsoft representative told me this morning that the company will release Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) to manufacturing in early August, This date is in line with a report from WinInfo Daily Update last week, but contradicts various Web stories that had pegged the release date of the oft-delayed upgrade as occurring in two weeks.”
