Not our kind of Gnomie

This afternoon an unsolicted email came that contained the W32.Beagle.X@mm virus. The email was addressed from “Gnomie” and the SMTP address was gnomie at thepeartree.net . The infected attachment was called “You_will_answer_to_me.cpl”
The Beagle virus like many others spoofs the sender email address, so I haven’t sent a note to Gnomie, however, this is a nice reminder to not assume attachments from familiar names are safe.
