“A serious wireless network technology flaw has been identified that could lead to the breakdown of some critical infrastructures. The flaw, which was discovered by the Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) Information Security Research Centre, affects the 802.11b standard….In effect the flaw allows for the disruption of the standard 802.11b radio frequency developed by the IEEE to transmit data. The result is that the wireless devices cannot communicate with each other and service is denied.”

I’m not impressed. My cordless 2.4 gHz phone would jamm my wireless 100% of the time. I would online surfing and my wife would answer the phone and blam, denial of service. Anytime you are transmitting over a wireless connection you can be jammed, whether it’s a hacker or a house hold device that’s doing it. It’s not rocket science.
