“This issue may occur when a failure occurs after the updated driver files have been copied, and while the setup program is writing updated information to the Registry. If the driver update does not work at this point of the Setup process, the original driver is removed, but the updated driver may not be installed. Note Typically, if Windows Update driver installation does not work, the original driver remains installed and continues to function normally.”

I am using windows xp OS with word 2003. I had an automatic windows update yesterday, an since then, my word will not open. I can only open in safe mode. Is there an easy fix for this?
