Microsoft has finally opened up (a little) about one of the hardware ‘recommendations’ for life under Longhorn. Specifically the video card specs. Looking at today’s hardware, the published specs for regular use or top of the line are pretty reasonable. I don’t think that they will represent a big hurdle by the time that Longhorn makes it to the store shelves.

What I find interesting is that there will be at least two ‘levels’ of video interface available- Aero and Aero Glass. It’ll be much more than the current Themes, since there are so many differences between the two, as evidenced by the differing hardware requirements.
