“…The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package, but it was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
When you use a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro to open a Microsoft Excel 2000 workbook that contains a Microsoft Outlook Express header, the Microsoft Excel process may continue to run when the VBA macro uses the Quit method to close the workbook.”
