“SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to install Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Setup may stop responding (hang) during the hardware detection process. During this phase, Setup determines what hardware components are installed in your computer. This phase requires you to restart your computer either once or twice, depending on the type of hardware in your computer. You can identify this Setup phase by the “Setting Up Hardware” screen.

my comment is i can not see a dvd on my laptop.because the movement of the picture is very bad.it does not display in moving motion but displys like a picture without free movement.please help me to troubleshoot this problem.

My floppy disk (A:) drive does not show up in my My computer folder….I tried re-installing but it’s still not identified and therefore i cannot use my disks …..please help !

Im sure you could perhaps open your computer and check the data cables on your computer
then prhaps restarting would do the trick

Malicious software might be one of those reasons to lead to errors in accessing drives in MyComputer

noe of those tricks worked ….what more could be the problem ??
