Microsoft launching new PR attack on Linux

Get the Facts on Windows and Linux is Microsoft’s latest attempt to slow the juggernaut that is Linux. The campaign claims to bring “leading companies and third-party analysts” to bear on the truth about Linux versus Windows, a move which will no doubt generate a whole new round of FUD accusations, fights, and general geekery. Microsoft’s offensive appears to be three pronged: they’re going after the typical Total Cost of Ownership claims, security issues, and technical capabilities issues that often show up in debates taking places anywhere from the boardroom to the bar.
