Now that the music industry is following Apple iTunes’ business model, of selling songs individually, as opposed to forcing consumers to sign-up for a monthly subscription, people will finally get what they have always desired: high-quality, legal, digital music at a reasonable price. However, not all services are the same. At first glance, they all appear to be offering music tracks for 99¢ (or there about), but what are you actually getting for your 99¢? Because, what you think you are buying (crisp, clear music, encoded in a digital format so you can take and play anywhere) may be something completely different than what you purchase.
