Taco Bell Spoofs Recall Election in Promo

Just when you thought the California recall election for governor couldn’t get any sillier, Taco Bell has entered the race with a respectful promotion: for the next few weeks till the election, they’ll count all sales of crunch beef tacos as a vote for Arnold Schwarzenegger, soft chicken (appropriately enough?) for Gray Davis, and the Grilled Stuft burrito for Gary Coleman, Mary Carey, et al. Ongoing tallies promised on the web site. If this works, maybe Florida could use it for the 2004 presidential election.
