“If you’re tired of running sheets of labels through your inkjet printer to output colorful or graphic-rich labels for your own custom audio CDs and CD-Rs, digital media product manufacturer Memorex Products Inc. on Tuesday announced that it has shipped ink jet printable CD-R discs to retail stores across the United States. The CD-Rs work in conjunction with CD-R printing-capable devices like Epson’s Stylus Photo 900, which can print directly to CD-Rs using a special pass-through mechanism. The surface of the CD-R is ready to accept ink, rather than requiring you to print out the label separately and apply it using a special labeling device.”

Consider development of aerosol spray product for depositing a printable surface onto regular disks.
