This review of the Philippine “homage” to the Caped Crusader definitely captures the feeling of viewing that movie which is so bad you’re glued to watching it from start to finish. It’s way past camp.
One thing though, growing up in here in the Philippines, this movie was made to capitalize on the Batman movies (specifically Batman Returns) during that time. And also, it was produced by one of the more established Philippine film companies which generally sums up what kind of movies get churned out here.
Thinking about it, I’ll be renting the movie this weekend and watch it again. Just to see those bank tellers dancing to the Penguin, Joker, and Catwoman singing while being robbed is so worth the Fifteen pesos. I forgot to mention that it’s a pseudo musical…
