Speculation - The PlayStation 3 may run on Linux

Here’s an interesting article from CNET Asia’s John Lui that speculates that Sony’s Playstation 3 and BMW may use embedded Linux in their future products.
“Sam Greenblatt, a senior vice-president with Computer Associates (CA) and chief architect of its Linux Technology Group, told CNETAsia that Sony and BMW engineers were looking at switching to Linux. “
I need to stress that this is speculation, as no formal decision has been made by either company at this time. They are simply investigating the use of embedded Linux at this time.
