Old school hackers condemn hacks

In a report today that was likely in response to an earlier piece, Wired told the story of old school hacker’s, those who believe in the ideal of freedom, who believe that true hackers would never have done what was attributed to hackers in the earlier piece, more specifically bringing down the english language site for the Al-Jazeera TV network located in the middle east. I have given up on correcting the difference between hacking and cracking, hackers, cracks and skript kiddies. The hackers believe censorship is bad, and freedom is good. The attackers of that site clearly hold neither of these ideals as a basis. “The individual(s) who did this are committing a computer crime and causing censorship,” said Oxblood Ruffin, executive director of Hacktivismo, a group that develops tools to circumvent censorship.

Hello my name is alex and i live in Indiana and i am a hacker and i think hacking websites is not a good thing unless there is something publically wrong with the website like i never hack a website or someone unless i have a legitimate reason and wouldnt get in trouble for it im a 15 year old who basiscally has nuthin better to do but see here if someone were to hack someone else they either must of had a reason because they take the time out of wat they are doing to do so. So usually they have a reason. I like destroying peoples computers but they threaten me thats when hackers attack is when they are threatened first by a script kiddie that cant get around a simple firewall.. Well im just saying that hacking is fun but you have to know when to use it
