Layoffs at O’Reilly?

From a discussion list of mine: The editor of my book with O’Reilly, Jim Sumser, was just terminated as part of a reduction in force. Does anybody else know about how many people were let go, and from where in the company? Another post reports: I just got email from my editor and friend Robert Denn at O’Reilly. He has been laid off, and apparently he is not alone. I’m not sure what exactly is going on at O’Reilly, but the news about Wrox seems to have shaken them badly. Also, there’s a rumor that O’Reilly may buy Wrox or parts of it.
