I’ve been searching for a new laptop for a while, and as I was talking to my friend Jed (I feel it’s only fair to give him some of the credit), he referred me to the new Lindows “portable PC.” This thing is neat! For just $799 you get a 2.9 lb. notebook with a 933 MHz Via C3 processor, 256 MB RAM, 20 GB HD, 12.1 inch screen, and more! Although the official ship date is March 1, 2003, you can preorder it at iDotPC and GearZoo. Who knows, I may actually have to break down and give it a try….
