Coming soon to an inkjet printer near you: The ability to print hardware. Scientists are developing special inkjet cartridges with the ability to hold different types of polymers, the idea being that you will be able to actually print 3D objects. It doesn’t stop there though, as the printer will be able to print electronic devices such as remote controls or lightbulbs.
In devices such as remote controls, conventional batteries will provide power to the cirtcuits and if it happens to break, there’s not really any way to repair it, which may lead to an even more “disposable” oriented society.
So we can steal our music off the net, and soon we’ll be able to download the CD player too.
