Fuel Cells in 2004

It seems two companies have gotten together to develop and then market, an ethanol based fuel cell for the mobile electronics market. They claim that their technology, once developed, will give significantly longer life to PDAs, notebooks and the like, than previously possible. Although I wonder how they can make that sort of claim before, as they admit, the technology is developed. Regardless, it certainly would be nice to have a cell phone or notebook that I didn’t have to make sure was plugged in at every possible opportunity.
