I don’t know if any of these projects show any kind of realistic expectation of what to expect in the future, but if it does it is pretty cool. From what I understand all of these projects are still in a research phase, not implementation. However, the fact that they are even being attempted is pretty cool. Personally I liked the newest one best, it essentially uses a single line of LEDs to produce a picture during normal vision. Perhaps at some point we will all wear glass which give us additional information about our environment. On second though, how long before this becomes an excuse for marketers to send us SPAM 24×7?
