For those of you interested in blocking ads, this site offers a host file which blocks some of the better known advertisers. The site has some fairly good explanations of how the system works. However, a word of caution, this not for everyone. Playing around with your systems ability to resolve addresses can cause a variety of unintended side effects. I’m still testing it out and while I hadn’t had any serious problems yet, your mileage may vary.
