Well, I am sad here. I note that as of late I am getting ads.doubleclick.* url’s when ever I refresh a Wired article, and that disturbs me. I have also enjoyed Wired as a good news source, and was even willing to accept the trend they were following the rest of the cash strapped news sites when they added the big box adds on their site. I mean they can’t really be expected to rely on their hefty subscription income to subsidize the web site, can they? This, though, is not acceptable. Double Click is a bad source of spyware, and it a horrid partner for a site like Wired. I will really have to consider avoiding using Wired as a news source from now on. I hope this is a mistake on my own behalf, I really do.
