Microsoft has decided that it may finally be a good idea to support Bluetooth wireless technology in Windows XP. Previously their stance had been that Bluetooth was too new and still struggling to get on its feet when Windows XP was getting ready to ship, so support was not important. Now Microsoft is making Bluetooth devices in an attempt to get part of a $76 million pie which is expected to grow to $2.6 billion in 2006. Unfortunately, current Windows XP users will not be able to download a patch, but will have to get Bluetooth support by purchasing another product which includes support.
